Long Journey of Cultural Learning –
Have You Opened the Door for Your Child Yet?
For immigrant parents of Chinese descent, the shared cultural values between parents and children are essential for guiding mutual understanding and blending between generations! But for children growing up overseas, learning about ethnic culture is not only the cultivation of literacy but also the development of communication and application in a multicultural environment! A child who learns about culture and can appreciate diverse cultures will be the elite of the future, able to demonstrate unique integration and creativity in a world where people and AI coexist!
Wisdom Culture & Education Organization, with 30 years of cultural research and educational development, has created the "Chinese Folk Arts Summer Camp." This program, after collaborating with nearly 40,000 school-age Chinese children in the San Francisco Bay Area and Greater Seattle region, has been refined and improved over time. It has developed into a cultural curriculum that is the most suitable for overseas students, deeply rooted yet easy to understand (spanning 7 years and 70 types of cultural courses):
• Chinese music, chess, calligraphy, painting
• Refined arts, festivals and customs, scientific inventions, nostalgic charm
• Large-scale outdoor games, ancestral scientific verifications, traditional Chinese cuisine, arts and crafts creation and hands-on activities
• Folk dances from various ethnic groups, experiencing the spirit of Chinese martial arts, and comparing cultural rites and customs
• Additionally, camp counselors (youth TA brothers and sisters) serve as role models, inspiring children to become volunteers for the next generation.
The camp’s design includes not only rich cultural courses but also aims to keep children joyful and filled with excitement through recreational activities, helping them discover new things and feel amazement through group interaction! The comprehensive and detailed learning roadmap awaits you and your child to immerse in and enjoy it over 7 consecutive summers!
Although cultural cultivation is a long journey... we firmly believe that education is the best investment for the future. As a parent, you are the greatest investor in leading your child to explore their roots and recognize the value of their cultural heritage!
